Admerald: EPI’s understanding of the scripture is really faulty.

He start with “God created man in his image, and since God is spirit the finished product must be spirit”. Then he pick and twist verses of the Bible to prove his point. That is wrong Methology my friend.
You start with the Bible and make a conclusion from it, and not pick verses of the Bible to make your conclusion biblical.

EMA:  What’s “Methology” Adme?

What’s with this statement “and not pick verses of the Bible to make your conclusion biblical”?  Isn’t it that “to make your conclusion biblical”, the bases of “your conclusion” should be “verses of the Bible”?

Admerald: should be methodology.

And I’m simply reminding you to start with the Bible, and make your conclusion from it.

And not make a conclusion first, then look for passages in the Bible to make your conclusion biblical.

EMA:  To understand the bible, you have to study all the verses relating to one subject.

You should heed your reminder “to start with the Bible, and make your conclusion from it”.  By not following this reminder, you contradict the bible in holding on to the belief that man will go to heaven, that he has an immortal soul, and that man will not be like God, among others.

Have another look on your “methodology”.

Show me any of my “conclusion” which is not biblical.

Admerald:  1. To be in the image of God means to be spirit beings.
2. Jesus is not God before the resurection.
3. Yahweh made himself not God anymore.
4. God does not know your decision.
5. Jesus is one count God + the Father as another count God. making God 2.

You said you already reject Armstrong teachings that we will be god also someday, so I will not count it as your wrong conclussion.

You misunderstood. My position is that “image” refers to character or reputation. Being spirit is the “likeness” to God by which man is to become.

I will no longer quote John (1 John 3:2) because you don’t believe him.

This is biblical because I cited bible verses (Philippians 2:7, Hebrews 2:9) which show that Jesus was subject to death. If he were God before he died, he could not have died.

The exact wording is the Word became flesh (John 1:14), subject to the power of death (Hebrews 2:9).

In the exercise of freewill to choose whether to submit to God’s rule or not, God chose not to know what would man’s choice be. The Abraham-Isaac incident is the classic example which, if you don’t believe it, you wouldn’t believe any other.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

If your count is 3, we sure have a problem.

While I have since grown in knowledge from my WCG days, you would learn a lot if you are just not biased against Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong.

Do you have the monopoly of understanding the bible? Epi’s ideas are much more sound than yours.

Admerald: I do not have monopoly of the Bible, In fact my interpretation is in line with Historical Christianity.

It is EPI’s interpretation which follows the interpretation of those who claim that they have the truth like the ADD, Armstrong and Joseph Smith.

They think that Historical Christianity is wrong, and the truth was revealed to them in our time.

EMA:  Please define “Historical Christianity”.  If I am not mistaken, this seems different from the biblical Christianity.
